Funny and surprising throughout, I enjoyed this book and would recommend for anyones holiday. Underneath the characters trivialities, it poses bigger questions of what humans will seek for wellness and highlights the effects of when a different group of humans are thrown together.

Sally Rooney - Conversations with Friends ⭐️⭐️ I wasn’t a huge fan of the characters, and personally didn’t warm to their relationships. Nevertheless, it is beautifully written in Sally Rooney’s classic style and the prose flows smoothly throughout. Will definitely watch the new series that is coming out this year.

Sally Rooney - Normal People ⭐️⭐️⭐️ My favourite of Sally Rooney’s, the novel follows Marianne and Connell from their schools years to end of university. Definitely also watch the hugely successful BBC3 adaption that was released in the midst of the pandemic.

Bella Mackie - How to Kill your family ⭐️⭐️ Really enjoyed this one, it was satirical, fast paced and witty. Very interesting to have the whole plot told in the first person from the view of Grace, and I liked the heroine despite her monstrous crimes! Great debut from Bella Mackie and looking forward to her next book that she is working on at the moment.
